Please note upgrades are incredibly important in Bloons. I love the feeling of progression and unlocking new capabilities as long as I enjoy the gameplay. The only con I can think of for Bloons TD 6 is the inability to instantly use the best tower upgrades in the game for veterans. It leaves the details up to you to learn and use. Pros and Cons: Bloons TD 6 is fast to teach you the basics with a tutorial. The game does remember the last map you played and what round you were on if you need to leave the app.
You can then choose to Free Play the map indefinitely. There is no timer other than the number of rounds to ‘complete’ a map. Time: Bloons TD 6 isn’t energy-based, however, you do need to unlock maps and towers to achieve the greatest results.
It has updated graphics and a Ninja Kiwi sounds willing to update the game for the foreseeable future with more content! I recommend playing Bloons TD 6 if you are ready for a new tower defense game or love the genre.
Plus, Ninja Kiwi made a third upgrade track for each tower! The user interface could be better for placing Powers down, I’m constantly pulling up my menu bar from the iPad’s bottom edge, and I still love the game. Bloons TD 6 doesn’t change the formula, yet its emphasis on unlocking towers and monkey knowledge does offer a pleasing reward for every level you earn.
You do need to be careful not to leave the fast-forward button on once you pass round 38! Bloons TD 6 has clean animations, with a few skips on my iPad Air 2, and the sound effects will keep your ears satisfied your monkeys are popping bad bloons. You can focus on leveling up your favorite towers or just have fun playing medium maps and slowly unlocking everything. It has more polish, heroes, and tower upgrades are earned through popping bloons. Who doesn’t want to watch monkeys pop balloons?īloons TD 6 plays very similarly to number 5. It’s the most fun game I’ve played which I believe all ages can enjoy. They only shoot darts at balloons, yet there are explosion sound effects and perhaps even a cartoon gun is too much for someone with traumatic memories. The only reasons I can think of it being 9+ are the cannons, sniper rifles, and other cartoony weapons based on real weapons or war machines. You don’t need an internet connection to play Bloons TD 6.īloons TD 6 is rated 9+ on the App Store for Infrequent/Mild Cartoon or Fantasy Violence. Simply playing the game for a time will unlock everything and give you Monkey Dollars for Powers. You really don’t need to buy any content. I like this because it makes it easier to play any tower rather than focus on a single tower strategy. No more one tower buff from a chosen headquarters. Taking a page from Kingdom Rush, there are now Monkey Knowledge perks which affect towers and are always active. Ninja Kiwi added some more bells and whistles to Bloons TD 6. Ninja Kiwi is the studio behind the game franchise. It costs $4.99 and includes in-app payments to quickly unlock content or obtain powers to make maps easier. Bloons TD 6 is a pay-to-play tower defense game. You can check out my YouTube video on Bloons TD 6 at Lunar Nebula LLC Gaming (I recommend starting here) to see the gameplay in action. I’ve played for almost a week now and feel comfortable with the game. I’m not being paid to write this blog, and it contains information based on my opinions from playing Bloons TD 6 on iOS. Hello, dear reader, I hope you’re having a good day.
